Hello
I began my career 34 years ago, as a Naturopath, breathworker, and remedial therapist. This included so many modalities, including nutrition, botanical medicine, acupuncture and so on. I learnt an enormous repertoire of healing arts. It was likely the Breath work, that lead me down the path towards psychotherapy. I realised you could eat all the organic food and take all the herbs you wanted, fasting and gall bladder flushes and purifications, but you also needed to work on the deeper psychological patterns and behaviours that shape us all in our developmental years. …and so..from the start of my therapy practice,  I began to prioritize the emotional and psychological wellbeing of my clients, as I felt intrinsically that this governed all other health outcomes.  I gradually finished my Masters in Psychotherapy & Counselling over many years, and now work solely as a psychotherapist and counsellor. I use experiential therapies such as psychodynamic psychotherapy, gestalt, emotionally focused therapy, systemic family therapy, mindful practice, voice dialogue and hypnotherapy among other therapeutic tools. I have maintained practices throughout Sydney, the Southern Highlands, and now in the beautiful South Coast, NSW.
When therapy is done with compassion, skillful knowing, education, and professionalism, it provides the environment for human change. I've watched this occur repeatedly throughout the last few decades of working with people.
Often a crisis is a catalyst for seeking therapy, but it can also be the desire and need to unravel inner emotional and psychological experiences within a healing and confidential space.
I work with individuals and couples, who feel a need to sort out their inner world - their emotions, thoughts, relationships and behaviours; or just simply feel the need to talk and to unravel and connect more deeply with themselves.
