No. My services are not eligible for Medicare rebates.
Medicare rebates apply to registered psychologists, psychiatrists and certain other mental health professionals under a Mental Health Treatment Plan from a GP. As a psychotherapist and counsellor, sessions are offered privately and do not require a referral or diagnosis.
While Medicare can reduce the upfront cost of psychology sessions, the out-of-pocket gap fee many clients pay to see a psychologist is often similar to the full session fee of a psychotherapist.Working privately also means:• No GP referral• No formal mental health diagnosis required• No reporting to Medicare• No session limits• Greater flexibility in pace and depth of therapy. For many people, this allows therapy to unfold in a more relational and confidential way.
Some private health funds provide rebates for counselling services under extras cover.Rebate amounts and annual limits vary between insurers. I recommend contacting your health fund directly to confirm:
Please provide at least 24–48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Late cancellations or missed sessions may incur the full session fee. Payment is required on the day of your appointment.

I began my professional journey over 30 years ago as a naturopath, nutritionist, herbalist and remedial therapist — roles that naturally included counselling. During this time, I became deeply interested in the emotional lives of my clients. Through breathwork (emotional release therapy) and experiential group work, I explored my own inner world while supporting others to access repressed feelings and deepen self-understanding.
Over time, I came to recognise that emotional and psychological wellbeing underpins all other aspects of health. This realisation gradually shifted the focus of my work. I completed my Master of Counselling & Psychotherapy over several years and now practise solely as a psychotherapist and counsellor.
My therapeutic approach is experiential and relational. I draw from psychodynamic principles,, Systemic Family Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Sandplay Therapy, Voice Dialogue, Mindfulness and other integrative modalities.
I have maintained practices throughout Sydney, the Southern Highlands, and now in the beautiful South Coast of NSW.
Often, people seek therapy during times of crisis. Yet therapy can also arise from a quiet desire to understand oneself more deeply — to untangle patterns, explore inner conflicts, and make meaning of emotional experiences within a safe and confidential space.
My intention is to offer you a grounded, compassionate environment in which we can work through longstanding patterns and unresolved trauma — supporting you toward a more peaceful, integrated and awakened way of being with yourself and others.
